Owners Plead Guilty to Unlawful Dumping

Owners of a family-run circuit board business in Anaheim have pleaded guilty to felony charges of dumping acids and other metal wastes into the sewer system, the county’s environmental protection unit said Thursday.
Keshav and Manu Patolia, along with Pentadyne Circuits Inc. and Pentaflex Inc., were sentenced to three years’ supervised probation, fined $10,000 and ordered to pay up to $20,000 for costs of the investigation by the county Health Care Agency, sanitation district and district attorney’s office.
The operators pleaded guilty to felony counts of unlawful disposal earlier this month, Deputy Dist. Atty. Valerie A. Griswold said.
They were charged with dumping hazardous waste into the city sewer system for several months last year, Griswold said. Investigators were unsure how much waste was dumped.
