Strawberry Hunt a Prelude to Festival

Pupils at San Miguel School in Oxnard will get a sneak taste preview this week of the upcoming California Strawberry Festival.

On Wednesday, students will join friends, teachers and “Super Strawberry,” the festival mascot, in a schoolwide berry hunt.

Also on hand will be clowns and face painters. The event will be from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at San Miguel School, 2400 South J St.

The California Strawberry Festival is May 18 and 19 at Strawberry Meadows, College Park, 3250 S. Rose Ave.
