Deutsche Morgan Forms Technology Group: Deutsche Morgan Grenfell said it will hire three top Morgan Stanley Group Inc. bankers, including one of the top technology-sector bankers in investment banking, to form a technology investment banking group. The securities division of Deutsche Bank, Europe’s largest bank, said it hired Morgan Stanley banker Frank Quattrone to head the group. Quattrone has advised industry leaders, such as Apple Computer Inc. and Silicon Graphics, in a host of investment banking deals. Bankers George Boutros and Bill Brady, also from Morgan Stanley, will join Quattrone. The group, which will be based in Menlo Park, Calif., will provide services for mergers and acquisitions, underwriting and financing in the high-tech sector.
