A reward of up to $1,000 has been offered by the Ventura County Crime Stoppers for information leading to the arrest of suspects in the December murder of a 73-year-old Oxnard woman.
The body of Ruth Avril was found Dec. 22 in an irrigation ditch at the end of Arnold Road in Oxnard.
Her car, a black 1987 Ford Taurus, was found March 11 behind the Oxnard Elks Club at the northwest corner of the A Street building. The car was parked next to an abandoned travel trailer.
Any person who may have seen someone around the area where the car was parked is asked to call Oxnard Det. Michael Palmieri at 385-7688.
