Man Shot in Back in Drive-By Attack

Ventura County sheriff’s investigators are searching for two men suspected in a drive-by shooting in El Rio that left a 19-year-old man hospitalized with a bullet wound to his back.
Valencia Pasqual of Nyeland Acres was in stable condition Tuesday evening at Ventura County Medical Center.
Sheriff’s Department officials said Pasqual was shot about 2:10 p.m. Tuesday in the 1700 block of East Stroube Street.
“All we’ve got [for suspects] is two Hispanic males in an Oldsmobile,” Senior Deputy Al Calderon said.
There was no word Tuesday about any possible motive for the attack.
