Guard Signs With Cal State Fullerton Women’s Basketball

Kristen Sigg, a guard from Glendale (Ariz.) Community College, has signed a letter of intent to play for the Cal State Fullerton women’s basketball team, the school announced Tuesday.
Sigg, 5-feet-9, averaged 22 points and was named a JC All--American last season. She averaged 18 points as a freshman.

Cal State Fullerton signed three softball players: infielder-outfielder Jessica Maloney (Phoenix Mountain Pointe High School), outfielder Kate Degener (Palos Verdes Peninsula) and infielder-catcher Beverly Harwood (Covina Charter Oak).

The South Coast Sabers pee-wee team advanced to the title game of the U.S. Hockey National Championships this weekend in Cleveland, where they lost to the Lavonia (Mich.) Knights, 4-2.
The Sabers, from Anaheim and coached by Ron White, had won the California State Championship and the Pacific District Championship.
