Justin and Troy Dumais of Buena High advanced to the semifinals Friday in the three-meter springboard at the U.S. National diving championships in Oxford, Ohio. Troy finished 14th with 566.73 points, Justin 16th with 553.41.
Volleyball
Chaminade High has hired Marla O’Hara to coach the girls’ team in the fall. O’Hara, a pro beach volleyball player, replaces Karen Suppan, who left to pursue a master’s degree.
Soccer
Agoura High midfielder Adam Eyre, an All-Mission League pick last season, has signed to play at Santa Clara.
Football
Ansel Breniman, a former coach at Canoga Park High, died Wednesday in Seal Beach. He was 89.
Breniman coached the Hunters from the mid-1930s to the mid-70s. The school’s football stadium is named after him.
Golf
Former Dodger Steve Yeager and UCLA men’s basketball Coach Jim Harrick will host the Granada Hills Community Hospital golf and tennis tournament Monday at North Ranch Country Club.
