Tribune Co. Completes Purchase KTTY-TV: The Chicago-based company said it bought the San Diego television station for $70.5 million from Citibank, which took over the property after the previous owners defaulted on their obligations. The transaction, originally announced Aug. 29, gives the Tribune Co. its 10th television station. KTTY (Channel 69) is in the nation’s 16th-largest market in terms of television revenue. Tribune Co. publishes the Chicago Tribune and other newspapers, as well as owning television and radio stations.
