Residential Trash Fees to Decline About $1.50

Residents and business owners will see a reduction in their trash fees as a result of lower county landfill rates.

The City Council this week voted to cut garbage collection costs, thus passing along to residents the savings the city will see because of the county’s recent 22.8% reduction in landfill fees.

Starting this month, La Habra residents will see the typical monthly bill drop by $1.58 to $12.89. Commercial rates will be adjusted according to weight and other factors.
