Dana Hills Wraps Up Tennis Title With Rout

Dana Hills, ranked fourth in the county, won its third consecutive South Coast League boys’ tennis title, defeating Capistrano Valley, 17-1, in the final league match of the season Friday at Capistrano Valley High.
Florian Glattes swept in singles, 6-0, 6-0, 6-0, for the Dolphins (18-2, 10-0 in league), ranked eighth in Southern Section Division I.
In nonleague boys’ tennis:
Woodbridge 16, Diamond Bar 2--Tyler Smith and Tyler Call swept in doubles, 6-4, 6-4, 7-5, for third-ranked Woodbridge (16-4).
In the South Coast League boys’ volleyball:
Capistrano Valley 3, Dana Hills 1--Capistrano Valley, ranked No. 1 in Orange County and second in Division I, completed league unbeaten with a 15-7, 16-18, 15-10, 15-9 victory at home. Ryan Thurlow had 18 kills and Mike Tully had 13 for the Cougars (15-1, 10-0).
San Clemente 3, Trabuco Hills 0--Brandon Taliaferro had seven kills for host San Clemente (12-6, 8-2), which won, 15-7, 15-2, 15-4.
In nonleague golf:
St. Margaret’s 122, Orange 132--Junior Bryan Lee and freshman Jimmy Freeman each shot three-over 38 for St. Margaret’s (6-8) at Marbella in its final match of the season.
