Pepperdine 14, San Diego 0--The Waves kept alive its hopes for the West Coast Conference championship by completing a four-game sweep at San Diego. Pepperdine finished WCC play 19-6 and is 32-19 overall.

The only way Pepperdine can win the title is for WCC leader Santa Clara to lose three of four next week against St. Mary’s.

Andy Shibilo (6-2) pitched 6 1/3 innings for the Waves. Dennis Konrady and David Rosato each drove in three runs, Chris Cosbey had four hits and Josh Oder had three.

Rancho Cucamonga 5, JetHawks 3--The slumping JetHawks continued to find ways to waste good pitching before 6,424 at the Epicenter. Despite starter Ivan Montane allowing one two runs, one earned, and four hits in six innings, the JetHawks (18-13) lost their fourth consecutive game.

The JetHawks produced a season-low six hits, all singles. They also made two errors, giving them 21 in six games.
