SAN DIEGO — A white stretch limousine belonging to an Arab sheik and thought to be one of the longest in the world has been ordered off the roads by police because it is too long, even for California.
The limo, measuring 66 1/2 feet and able to seat 36 people, was stopped on Thursday in Carlsbad, an exclusive San Diego suburb, by two California Highway Patrol officers who put a tape measure to it and determined that it exceeded the maximum length of 65 feet allowed in California.
