Dodger second baseman Delino DeShields, who fouled a ball off his right foot in Monday night’s 3-2 loss to the Montreal Expos, sat out his second consecutive game. Chad Fonville started in place of DeShields, who hopes to return for tonight’s game against the Philadelphia Phillies.
“It’s still a little sore when I plant, but I’ll be out there tomorrow,” DeShields said. “I just needed a couple days so I could at least walk a little bit.”
