Watson General Corp.: The Irvine remote tank monitoring software company posted a second-quarter net loss of $496,000, or 5 cents a share, compared with a net loss of $258,000, or 3 cents a share, for the second quarter of the previous year.
Sales for the quarter ended March 31 were up 22%, to $864,000 from $707,000. For the first half, the company lost $856,000, or 8 cents a share, compared with a loss of $797,000, or 9 cents a share, for the first six months of fiscal 1995.
Sales gained 27%, to $1.4 million from $1.1 million. The company said results for the second quarter and first six months were affected by costs associated with an acquisition.
