Ellis Reaches Singles Final

Mark Ellis became the first Cal Lutheran men’s tennis player to reach the final of the NCAA Division III singles championships by defeating Jeremy Munson of Redlands, 6-2, 6-3, Tuesday at Emory University in Atlanta.
Top-seeded Ellis, a junior, will face unseeded Todd Bowlby of Gustavus Adolphus College in the final today. Bowlby advanced by defeating defending champion Damian Polla of Washington College (Md.).
Ellis, a 1991 Camarillo High graduate and the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference player of the year, carries a 33-1 record into the match.
