Mobil Reorganizing Worldwide Divisions: The Fairfax, Va.-based company is replacing the existing divisions--exploration and producing, marketing and redefining, and chemical--with 11 regional business groups, each reporting to an executive office headed by Lucio Noto, Mobil Corp.’s chairman and chief executive. In North America, the company’s exploration and development operations will be separate from refining and marketing, with one business group responsible for each. Four business groups will be responsible for regions where it makes more sense to combine exploration and production with refining and marketing--Africa and the Middle East, Asia and the Pacific, Europe and the Commonwealth of Independent States, and South America.
