Lucero the Big Winner in Speedway Racing

COSTA MESA — Steve Lucero of Riverside won the four-lap scratch main event in front of 4,707 in the weekly speedway motorcycle program Friday at the Orange County Fairgrounds.
Gary Hicks, also of Riverside, was second and Shawn McConnell of Brea third. Bobby Schwartz of Costa Mesa was fourth and Robert Pfetzing of La Habra finished fifth.
