Schools / Education news : Veteran Educator to Take District Post

Bill Langan, principal of Jordan Elementary School and Jordan Secondary Learning Center, has been appointed director of special education and student services for the Garden Grove Unified School District.
In his new position, Langan will oversee programs for the district’s 4,200 special education students and direct health and child welfare services. He also will manage the district’s discipline committee.
Langan joined the district in 1973 when he took a physical education teaching position at Bell Intermediate School. In 1981, he was named assistant principal of Garden Grove High School and took the principal’s post at Jordan in 1988.
