Middle blockers Bryan Ivie and Jeff Nygaard combined for 52 kills to lead the U.S. men’s national volleyball team past France, 14-16, 15-6, 15-7, 15-11, at Fort Wayne, Ind.
Ivie, of Manhattan Beach, had 29 kills and Nygaard, of Madison, Wis., had 23. The victory brought Team USA’s 1996 record to 14-5. It was the first of three matches between the U.S. and France in Ft. Wayne this week.
