Coetzee Hangs Up Gloves at the Marriott

Gerrie Coetzee said Thursday he no longer will promote fights at the Warner Center Marriott.

Coetzee, president of Top Ring USA, said Wednesday night’s program, highlighted by a junior middleweight title fight between P.J. Goossen and Greg Lonon, was his final show at the Woodland Hills hotel because of financial reasons. Coetzee said he plans to stage fights at a venue in Temecula with greater seating capacity.
