The opening of the new Ash Grove club on the Santa Monica Pier has been postponed again.
The club, a revival of the noted ‘60s L.A. folk and blues house, had been scheduled to debut this weekend with a show featuring Dave Alvin and Peter Case, but is now set to open Friday with a night of African music featuring Makina Loca and Prince Eyango.
The shows, canceled because of delays in acquiring permits, will be rescheduled for dates to be announced. Refunds for those shows will be made at point of purchase.
