Karnaugh Loses Arbitration Bid

The Ron Karnaugh-Greg Burgess controversy has resurfaced. Thursday night, the American Arbitration Assn. denied another claim by Karnaugh, who maintained that Burgess and his witnesses lied in their testimony at an AAA hearing earlier this month.

Karnaugh has been trying to have Burgess dismissed from the Olympic swim team for more than a month, maintaining that Burgess violated the U.S. Olympic Committee’s code of conduct. Burgess, who will compete in the men’s 200-meter individual medley, was arrested in March for a minor alcohol-related offense.
