A Texas televangelist who made a fortune from his weekly sermons was sentenced to 16 months in prison and fined $30,000 for tax evasion. Walter Grant Jr., the 50-year-old founder and pastor of the Church of Compassion near Dallas, previously pleaded guilty but tried to reverse his plea at the last minute.
