Futurecare Cancer Nurses Elected to Oncology Society

Registered nurses Debbie Lawry and Maxine Salsedo, both with Futurecare Cancer Center, have been elected to the board of the Channel Islands Oncology Nursing Society.
Lawry was named president of the organization through 1998, and Salsedo will serve a two-year term as area director, covering Oxnard, Ventura and Camarillo.
The goal of the society, which represents nurses from Ventura and Santa Barbara counties, is to educate nurses and the general community about cancer treatments.
Futurecare Cancer Center offers cancer treatments at offices in Oxnard and Ventura.
