Rookie Banks Leads Rams

Rookie quarterback Tony Banks, a second-round draft pick from Michigan State and San Diego, outplayed starter Steve Walsh as the St. Louis Rams defeated the Jacksonville Jaguars, 17-10, in an exhibition game at St. Louis.

Banks, the first quarterback taken in the draft, completed eight of 13 passes for 101 yards and is 20 of 28 for 219 yards after two games.
