1 Killed as Bikers, Turkish Troops Clash

Bikers protesting the Turkish occupation of northern Cyprus fought with Turkish troops and their supporters, and one biker was beaten to death. Police said 30 other Greek Cypriots were injured, two seriously, in brawls at several points along the 112-mile, U.N.-patrolled border that divides the Mediterranean island into Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot sectors. Twelve Turkish Cypriot police officers were also hurt, the official Turkish Cypriot news agency TAK said.
