New Quarters: Asian American Economic Development Enterprises Inc., a 19-year-old nonprofit organization, has moved from Los Angeles’ Chinatown to Monterey Park. Bigger offices in the Taipei Center, 216 W. Garvey Ave., put the organization closer to its monthly workshop site in Monterey Park. “We’re still close to Chinatown, where our heart belongs,” said Mercy Murphy, program development director. The organization provides education, employment help and entrepreneurial training for Asian Americans. Information: (818) 572-7021 or (213) 228-1632.
