Rangers Deal McSorley to Sharks

SAN JOSE — The San Jose Sharks acquired veteran defenseman and enforcer Marty McSorley from the New York Rangers on Tuesday for two players and a draft pick.
The Rangers received defenseman Jay More, the last remaining player from the Sharks’ 1991 expansion draft, center prospect Brian Swanson and a 1998 fourth-round draft choice.
McSorley, 33, was traded with Wayne Gretzky to the Kings in 1988 and spent most of the next eight seasons in Inglewood.
McSorley is the latest former King player to join the Sharks, who have also signed recently signed Kelly Hrudey, Bernie Nichols and Tony Granato.
