Y’ALL COME: R.E.M. is inviting the public to lavish outdoor events in five cities--including West Hollywood--to debut both the new “Adventures in Hi-Fi” album and “Road Movie” concert documentary, with portions of the latter to be projected on the sides of buildings. The parties will be held Sept. 7, three days before the album is in stores and six days before the film premieres on MTV, which will air it several more times in September.
No tickets will be required for the events, with thousands expected to attend.
