Woman, 24, Shot to Death in Apartment

Police said Wednesday they are still trying to sort out who shot and killed a 24-year-old Pacoima woman inside her apartment.
Lt. Joseph Garcia said officers found Norma Bucio shot once in the chest in her apartment in the 13200 block of Mercer Street at about 1:30 a.m. Wednesday. The woman’s husband and a number of other people were inside the apartment at the time of the shooting, police said.
Although officers are sure someone at the scene shot the woman, they said further investigation is necessary to determine what happened.
“It appears to be accidental right now,” Garcia said. “But we are just trying to talk to people who were inside the house to make sure.”
