Palisades 28, Van Nuys 7--Palisades quarterback Kris Hawkes completed his first 11 passes and threw for 176 yards and two touchdowns in a nonconference game at Palisades.
Van Nuys (0-1) scored its only points on a 30-yard run by Carlos Mack with 14 seconds left.
Van Nuys quarterback Robert Williamson completed seven of 22 passes for 72 yards and was intercepted four times--including three times in the first half when Palisades built a 21-0 lead.
