The City Council has given neighboring Cypress College a birthday tribute.
Council members, noting that the community college is celebrating its 30th anniversary this month, unanimously passed a resolution praising the institution. The college was founded Sept. 26, 1966.
“Cypress College offers stimulating academic and vocational programs to more than 13,000 students each year,” the council’s resolution stated. “Cypress College offers one of the most comprehensive educational [programs] in the state on a spacious, modern, beautiful campus that is accessible to all of us.”
The council’s resolution also congratulated the community college “for its 30 years of providing educational excellence.”
