Santa Paula 32, Santa Maria 22--Linebacker Aaron Pettitt recovered two fumbles and returned an interception 70 yards to set up a score as the Cardinals (1-1) beat the Saints (0-2) in a nonleague game at Santa Paula.
Cardinal quarterback Willie Zavala completed 13 of 22 pass attempts for 160 yards and a touchdown. Zavala also kicked field goals of 20 and 40 yards.
