Chiefs’ Dawson Out for Season

Kansas City Chief wide receiver Lake Dawson is out for the season after suffering a tendon injury to his right knee on Sunday.
The Chiefs said that Dawson will be put on injured reserve and replaced by Sean LaChapelle, the former UCLA Bruin who led the World League last season with 1,023 receiving yards.

Hoping to add some punch to a lackluster offense, the Baltimore Ravens signed tight end Eric Green and running back Bam Morris, neither of whom had played a down since last season.
Morris, released by the Pittsburgh Steelers after pleading guilty to a marijuana possession charge, can’t play until Oct. 13 because of a league-imposed suspension. Green was signed despite recurring swelling in his knee.
To make room, the Ravens released running back Leroy Hoard.

Shayne Edge, a former World League punter cut during training camp, re-signed with the Steelers and is expected to play Sunday against Houston after Josh Miller was lost for two to six weeks because of a hernia.
