Pacifica rallied to beat Woodbridge in its opener. Mariner quarterback J.D. Stern has completed 23 of 41 passes (56%) for 378 yards, three touchdowns and one interception. Westminster lost to Long Beach Millikan last week, 35-19. Sparky Kale, who set a school rushing record last year (777 yards), has 332 yards and is averaging 9.8 yards a carry.
