Single-Family Home Sales Rise in August

There were 300 sales of single-family homes in the Conejo Valley in August, according to the Conejo Valley Assn. of Realtors.

This compares with 270 sold in July and 250 a year ago.

The median sales price for all the homes sold in August was $247,141, a drop from the $262,499 figure for August 1995. The median price is the point where half the units sold for more and half for less.

The median-price breakdown for single-family homes in August was: $165,000 for nine homes up to two bedrooms; $213,392 for 103 three-bedroom homes, and $283,928 for 188 homes with four or more bedrooms.

There were 76 condominiums sold in the Conejo Valley in August.
