Children’s Festival of the Arts Is Saturday

Youngsters will get the opportunity to create their own artistic works during a free event Saturday sponsored by the Conejo Valley National Charity League.
The Children’s Festival of the Arts will be held from noon to 3 p.m. at Conejo Creek North Park, 1379 E. Janss Road, Thousand Oaks. It will include activities such as copper etching, making bracelets and rock people and painting with marbles.
National Charity League members will supervise and assist participants in creating their artistic works. The organization is a major sponsor of the event, now in its third year.
About 800 children participated in last year’s festival.
“We’re hoping for over a thousand this year,” said Robin Rosso, publicity chairwoman for the Conejo Valley National Charity League. For more information, call Rosso at (805) 495-1019.
