Kiwanis Club Honors ‘Firefighter of the Year’

The Kiwanis Club of Oxnard honored Dan Gildea with its “Firefighter of the Year” award at the club’s 10th annual Community Services Awards Luncheon.
Gildea, who has been a member of the Oxnard Fire Department since 1988, was recognized for his outstanding achievement by members of the department in the area of “fire safety, fire protection and lifesaving activities.”
Runners-up Gilbert Richardson and Dave Barker were presented “Community Service Award” plaques at the awards ceremony.
