KMPC Fires Bob Heckler

Bob Heckler, a conservative talk-show host at KMPC-AM (710) since last November, was fired Friday and will be replaced in the 9 a.m.-noon slot beginning today by former KFI-AM (640) advice host Marilyn Kagan.

Dave Cooke, operations manager and program director for KMPC, said that Heckler was let go because “we’re heading in a new direction, and Marilyn fits with that direction of lifestyle-oriented programming.”
