DAYTON, Ohio — A USAir flight from Philadelphia to Los Angeles was diverted to Dayton on Sunday after a passenger said he had a bomb, the FBI said.
Agents arrested Richard Allan Josephson, 37, of Wilmington, Del., and charged him with making a bomb threat, said FBI agent James Samples.
No bomb was found on USAir Flight 17, with 109 people aboard, after it landed without incident about 10:30 a.m., but eight people got bumps and bruises evacuating on an emergency slide.
U.S. Magistrate Michael Merz ordered Josephson held without bond and set a detention hearing for Wednesday.
