Donations in Memory of Eleanor Cameron

Friends of Eleanor Butler Cameron, a children’s author who died Friday in Monterey, Calif., were asked Tuesday to make any memorial donations to the Save the Redwoods League in San Francisco. The request was made by her only child and survivor, David Cameron, a lawyer and historian in Santa Monica. He said there will be no services.
Eleanor Cameron, a former Los Angeles librarian, began writing a series of children’s books about the “Mushroom Planet” in 1954 after David requested space stories with magic in them.
