Nominations Sought for Latino Awards

The deadline to submit nominations for the eighth annual Latino Leadership Awards is Nov. 1.
The awards are presented by the nonprofit organization El Concilio del Condado de Ventura to people in Ventura County who have tried to make life better for Latinos. The categories are youth to age 22, business/labor, cultural arts, education, community service and health.
Awards recipients will be honored Jan. 25 at the Mandalay Beach Resort in Oxnard.
