Faith Baptist 34, Santa Maria Valley Christian 24--Quarterback Tim Greer led the Contenders (6-1) in the nonleague matchup at Valley Christian (6-1) between the second- and third-ranked teams in the Southern Section Eight-Man Large Schools Division.
Greer completed 12 of 22 passes for 208 yards with two touchdowns and one interception for Faith Baptist, which came into the contest ranked third.
