Pine Mountain Road Temporarily Closed

Pine Mountain Road, a popular destination in the Ventura County portion of Los Padres National Forest, is closed to vehicles for the winter, U.S. Forest Service officials announced.
Also known as Forest Road 6N06, the route intersects California 33 near the Kern County border north of Ojai and will be closed until further notice due to wet weather. Foot traffic and cross-country skiers are welcome.
The restriction on vehicles is necessary to protect both the roadbed and adjacent vegetation, said Ojai District Ranger Larry Mastic. As soon as the weather stays dry long enough and the road is safe for vehicles, it will be reopened, he said.
