Cypress Used Ineligible Player

For the second time in two seasons, Cypress High used an ineligible football player. But this time the Centurions won’t have to declare a forfeit because they lost the game.
Southern Section Commissioner Dean Crowley said Cypress (3-5, 2-1 in the Empire League) turned itself in after realizing the team used a kicker who had recently joined the team without completing the required 10 days of practice.
Last season Cypress forfeited two games and league principals voted not to let the Centurions advance to the playoffs.
