SEASON AT A GLANCE: Neipp has won nine of 11 races after being academically ineligible during the last month of track season. After posting runaway victories in the Division II races of the Southern Section and State championships the last two weeks, she should be a contender in the West regional at Fresno’s Woodward Park on Saturday.

WEEK AT A GLANCE: Neipp won the Division II title in the State championships at Woodward Park last Saturday with a time of 17 minutes 33 seconds over the 5,000-meter course. She had a 20-second margin of victory and cut 39 seconds off her previous best at Woodward Park. “My dream goals were to be [Southern Section] champ and state champ,” Neipp said, “but I didn’t really think they were possible until a few weeks ago.”
