Opera Praise Praised

I am writing in regard to the review of “Tosca” by Chris Pasles on Nov 11 (“ ‘Tosca’ Makes Return in Theatrical Style”). How delighted I was to read the honest yet limited review of the opera. I think the review was fair and impartial, unlike the negative campaigns Mr. Bernheimer has been so gracious to share with us, your public. In my opinion, it is about time L.A. Opera had someone on their side, unlike the days Mr. Bernheimer lashed out at trivial and frivolous aspects of the evening, thus accounting for a bad review.

Being a student from the so-called Generation X, my love for opera seems rare. However, even more rare (to my astonishment) was the delightful review I encountered instead of negative outbursts.
