A program that allows Japanese students to study in the United States for a year is seeking families to host the pupils in their homes.
The group needs families to provide homes for the Japanese high school students now and in the near future, according to spokesmen for AYUSA (A Year in the USA) International Foreign Exchange Student Organization.
The nonprofit student exchange organization was founded in 1980 and places students from all over the world in different countries to study. More than 10,000 international and American students have participated in its programs over the past 15 years.
