Rychel Plays Despite Injury

Winger Warren Rychel needed 17 stitches to close a gash above his right eye, suffered when he was struck by a puck during the morning workout. The wound didn’t prevent Rychel from playing, however.
Linemate Ken Baumgartner’s high shot was sticked aside by goaltender Guy Hebert during a routine drill. But the puck hit Rychel, who was jockeying for position with a defender at the side of the net.
