Kids With Asthma Can Go to Camp

The American Lung Assn. of Orange County is registering children for its annual Southern California Asthma Medical Program.
The camp will run from June 29 to July 4 in the mountain town of Julian in San Diego County. Children ages 8 to 14 with mild to severe asthma are eligible to participate.
The camp is aimed at teaching children with asthma to lead healthy, active lives. Activities focus on recognizing what triggers asthma attacks and ways to prevent and control episodes. Children can participate in swimming, hiking, archery and campfires.
Supervision will be provided by trained counselors and a medical staff.
The cost is $207. Financial assistance is available.
